About Tige Bjornson, APRN-CNP, NNP-BC
Tige has been in nursing since 2001 and became a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner in 2008. He is an active member of the National Association of Neonatal Nurses (NANN) and the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP).
Throughout his career, Tige has specialized in family-centered care, infection prevention, vascular access, and small baby programs focused on the “golden hour.” He has advanced expertise in ultrasound-guided vascular access and the use of point-of-care ultrasound to improve outcomes in critically ill newborns.
In addition to his clinical work, Tige is deeply committed to education and professional development. He has been actively involved in mentoring and training both Neonatal Nurse Practitioners and nursing staff, as well as developing hands-on skills labs for providers.
Outside of work, Tige enjoys spending time with his wife—who is also a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner—and their two adult children. His hobbies include golfing, hiking, traveling, and working on Jeep projects.
